Scanner recommendation

Scanner recommendation

2002-12-29 by rafortuno <rafortuno@yahoo.com>

I am looking at buying either a Canon Canoscan FS4000 or a Nikon
Super Coolscan 4000 ED. Both are 4000 dpi, but the Canon is much
cheaper. Does anyone have any recommendations between the two?

Howdy, I've got a Canon FS4000 and I've been very impressed with its
performance. It's a tad slow when using a USB connection but using a
SCSI card will speed things up.

Go here for an in-depth look at the scanner:

There's also a Yahoo group for FS4000 users. You might want to check
that out.

Cheers,
Joe

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
