Stephen,
Try starting form scratch again, do the vacuum draw as best you can,
and then take the chip of and microwave it. I give each side and
both ends a 3-4 second burst, and then draw out each chamber again
once or twice with the syringe. They always fill properly after
that. Don't let it get more than a little warm to the touch though,
you don't want that sponge melting!.
