Shut. The off-center holes in the bottle lids are the vents for the 
CFS.

The vent holes on ANY system need to be placed: 
printhead/cart--->ink--->vent in general. For a standard non CFS cart, 
 having the vent in top of cart does not violate this rule as the ink 
is ALL below the vent physically.

In a CFS the ink is in bottles: printhead--->cart--->tubing--->ink in 
bottom of bottle---->air vent above ink in bottle.

If you indroduce a vent hole between the cart and tubing which opening 
up these holes in a CFS effectively does you will get air in 
tubing/carts/head as the siphoning action is broken, i.e. an air leak.
