Macs, 1280's, and MIS VM curves?

Macs, 1280's, and MIS VM curves?

2001-09-17 by smithj72@yahoo.com

I am using a Mac, a 1280, a MIS VM inkset and draft curves I
downloaded from the MIS website. So far my results have been
pretty good, but I have the suspicion they could be better. I
remember reading somewhere that curves for this particular
set-up were being developed. I was wondering if these new
draft curves are posted anywhere? Also, I have a flatbed
scanner and would be willing to contribute to the development of
these curves, although I am a bit of a novice at these things.

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Justin Smith

Justin,

Check with Paul Roark. He always seems to have curves that are a bit
ahead of what is on the MIS site. It is my understanding that the
1280 curves were orginally developed using a 1280 on a Mac platform
so the ones on the MIS site may be pretty close to final.

You may need to do some tweaking to get the best possible match to
your printer.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
