Epson 2200 RIP

Epson 2200 RIP

2003-02-11 by sanfo2003 <SandyCornelius@cox.net>

Epson America has the 2200 RIP in stock now and I ordered one.
Supposed to be here Thursday. Hopefully I'll be able to make a post
this weekend concerning greyscale performance.

Are you getting it mainly to see if it delivers the holy grail of
easy metamerism-free B&W printing on the Epson 2200 using the
OEM UltraChrome inks ? Here's hoping ...

If it delivers, it could be argued that Epson is asking us to spend
$200 to get what was strongly implied would be achievable "out of the
box" from the 2200 ...

Hi, John-

Well, I hope it works.

Heck. After Nikon charges $3500-4500 for a digital camera, THEN wants
another $100 for "oh, yeah, if you want to convert those RAW files you just
shot" software, THIS would be cheap. <BGGG>

Epson 2200 RIP

2003-05-05 by Duncan Staples

Does anyone use the Epson RIP PRO Software for the 2200? Any
advantages/dissadvantages? Does it require a separate PC as the RIP?

Thanks,
Duncan Staples
