BO printing...

Hi! I just made a direct comparison of B0 printing using MIS Generations 4 black. File was RGB. Curve was Paul's neutral. PRINTER DPI was 1440. Paper: Aspen Dual Sided Matte. FILE size is 790 DPI, printed to 10 inches wide, at 790 DPI. (Image is sized for a 20 Inch print at about 360 DPI, but left at the large file size for the smaller print). Printer is 1280, with VM inks and a CIS. Results: Black ink Only: Excellent quality print, VERY deep black, Full gray scale print. VERY fine dots apparent to me from about 4 inches to 2 inches. More than 4 inches, they were invisible. MIS VM inks using Generations 4 in the black position: Excellent quality print, almost identical to the Black Only print. No dots that I can see with my naked eye, at any distance. Sharpness is about the same. Blacks nearly identical. Perhaps 2 % darker with Black ink only. If the very fine dots don't bother you, either print is top notch. Tonal range is identical in both prints. Jerry
