The New PiezographyBW system at PMA

The New PiezographyBW system at PMA

2003-02-24 by Jon Cone

Here¹s another hint about what we¹re announcing at and debuting at PMA.

This is what it¹s not: It¹s not like the old PiezographyBW system. It
doesn't produce surprises. It¹s not difficult to use. It¹s not what you
expect.

Here¹s what it is: It¹s a new kind of PiezographyBW system. It¹s easier. It
works with your existing software. It¹s complete. It¹s inexpensive. You can
see it at PMA Booth #J84-J86 (we're adjacent to EPSON). If you can't make it
to PMA we'll post details on the www.piezography.com website during the
show.

The last time I heard a pitch like that.... I was watching the Home
Shopping Network.

Since when does the old Piezo system "produce surprises" and since when is
it "difficult to use", except for the ink issues, which have not a damn
thing to do with software?

Cripes. I never know what to and not to believe from this guy.

Austin,

I am not writing about the old system in that statement other than it is not
like the old system. I am writing everything else in relation ONLY to the
new system. No comparison being made other than in your mind.

You came out of the blocks so fast that you must have been a short-distance
sprinter in your youth! ;)

Relax, we're still fans of the old system.

Hi Jon,

Now, you KNOW I am a fan of your products, so keep that in mind...but come
one, read what you wrote...in one sentence you talk about the old system,
them in the next, make "comments", what else would one attribute these
"comments" to, except to the current context, which was the old system.

It's like someone saying "my new girlfriend is not like my old girlfriend.
She doesn't snore.". Most people would construe it that my old girlfriend
is the one who I was talking about as being the one who snores...

Regards

Austin

Aw great, just as I've made the switch to MIS. Mr. Cone, I'm
grateful for all you've done for digital b&w printing, but I just
can't afford the Piezo name anymore, it's cost me a fortune. But I
wish you the greatest success.

Jon-

Soooo.... Is this a scaled down budget version that will NOT replace the
other? Is it Piezography, but you can still upgrade to PZ Pro?
