OT: Advertising Problem

OT: Advertising Problem

2001-09-21 by SKID Photography

Sorry for this ot post, but don't know where else to turn.

For the past several daze (sic) the Yahoo Ads are showing up in the *middle* of the posts! Can't read them
with an ad on top. I can hit the 'reply' button, and then read them, but that is a pain, and I'm sure it's
not what Yahoo had in mind.

I went to the Yahoo home page, and can't find anyplace to get to communicate with Yahoo directly....Any ideas?

I thought it was just a hiccup in the system, but it's still happening...Again, not on all posts, but
consistently enough to be annoying.

Oh, and I *don't* want to turn off the HTML feature.

TIA,

Why be argumentative, just answer my question? If you don't know that's fine. I stated my position just so
that I wouldn't get responses like yours.

BTW: IF I seem a tad grumpy, I am. It's been over a week since the WTC thing (we live *very* close to ground
zero) and we are still not sleeping well, sorry.

You might try something like ZoneAlarm to block the ads, or in commercial
software Norton AntiVirus or Utilities or whichever program they now have -
it includes a pop-up ad-blocking feature which works fine for me under IE
and Netscape though I don't know whether it helps in e-mail programs.

Why not? Bulks up the mail and adds little of use, IMHO.

OT: Advertising Problem

I guess I should ask if anyone knows how to alert Yahoo about this problem, I suspect they could fix it, if I
could communicate with them.

Harvey,

If you find out how to contact Yahoo please let me know! I have
looked and not found anything.

I got your message on the advertising and I wish I had a suggestion
for you. The messages should come in with the message then the ad and
then the standard group footer. This is how they are coming into my e-
mail.

I have noticed that Yahoo will behave strangly in some area for a
while and then the problem goes away.

Not much help but I am at a loss on this one.

Martin

I contacted yahoo a couple months ago at support@... and then at
abuse@... (I got an email from someone-> fraud)

but you might want to try support@...

I highly recommend reading the posts on the web (no clutter to your
inbox) and all you have to type is groups.yahoo.com (a cookie will
remember you and have all your groups right there for you)

Mike,

Thanks for the contact addresses!

I also monitor the list on line. I find this the easiest way to track
threads and have the group resources at hand.
