1280/1270/1290 and UltraTones / Eboni Black

1280/1270/1290 and UltraTones / Eboni Black

2003-03-20 by Editor P.O.V. Image Service

Anyone having success with this inkset in the EPSON 1270, 1280, or 1290?
And, if so, are you using CIS/CFS or filling empty cartridges?

Given Jerry's and other's problems, I'm a bit trepidacious.. If I don't
hear anything, I'll wait until Monday or Tuesday to try the new inkset
in virgin cartridges..

Are more people than Jerry having problems with the Eboni black? (That is,
could it be the CIS and not the ink?)

Have the PiezoTone Museum users had this trouble? (It's about the same ink
as far as I can tell.)

Paul, it's quite possible it's the carts. Nomorecarts is sending a
replacement, so we'll see soon.

Paul,

I have the UltraTones installed in virgin cartridge that I filled myself
for the 1280. After installation of the inks into the printer there was
banding issues. I have let the system sit overnight, ran a few cleaning
cycles, and done purge prints (6 color), which seemed to help.

I no longer see banding on any of the inks.
