You need to clean the large rollers that feed the paper through the
printer. They are smooth from paper dust.

Anyone got experience with this piece of plastic from
www.scanhancer.com

They claim it upgrades Minolta Pro scan quality

Interesting but I am a little dubious

I don't have any personal experience, but if you join and check out the multipro group you will finds tons of personal reviews:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/multipro/messages

In fact, that group helped develop the device. Sounds promising. Too bad minolta didn't include it in the original design.

Ammonia and water, soapy water, isopropyl alcohol, anything that can
remove the dusty scum on the rollers.

It's obviously some kind of extra diffuser, machined/molded to fit
the slide & neg carriers.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
