Inkjet Control Software release and MIS/Inksupply?

Inkjet Control Software release and MIS/Inksupply?

2003-03-27 by Jean-Marc Humbert

Is this just a coincindence?

Picked up from http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?
source=html/new_prod.html :

"Software for Making B&W Prints
Soon we will have a new software package for making B&W Prints. It
will initially be for Mac computers only. It will push out the
envelope on the B&W print technology. We are very excited about this
software. Price will be under $200, and it will work with the popular
printers (Epson 1160, 890, 1280, 7000, 9000). It has the ability to
make paper profiles and will use 6 inks for making variable tone
prints ranging from full sepia to cool or anywhere in between. It
will be a stand alone package, not a Photoshop plug in. Paper-Ink
profiles will be available on our site for use by our customers at no
charge. This has been under development for over a year, and should
appear on our site before June 2003. This will make professional B&W
printing much easier."

Do we speak about the same?

Seams that Jon Cone and his so awaited new PiezographyBW software
should hurry up!

Jean Marc,

you don't have to wait for June - IJC is shipping next week. More info at:
http://www.bowhaus.com/inkjetcontrol/

As for whether they are the same as the MIS announcement or not, I don't
know. You may ask at software@....

I seriously doubt its a coincidence! MIS certainly won't be selling Cone's
new RIP :-)
