Sorry for cross-posting...
I don't know if there are any Spanish people on the list, but...

The opening of my exhibition 'Signos Urbanos' is taking place on October
10th at La Rosa De Foc in Barcelona. There will be 25 piezo prints. If
anyone would like to come let me know.

Re: [Digital BW] exhibition invite

2001-09-25 by Julian Thomas

Sure!! I'll post the final show later in the week.

But I have some new stuff that I've just posed to photo.net. The prints of
these are the best things I've ever produced (content is a different
matter), but I've been hesitant to put them on the web as they are
deliberately very low key. The prints (piezo on photorag) have this glowing
quality about the blacks but with plenty of detail that draw the viewer into
the lit areas. But they are here:
http://www.photo.net/photodb/presentation.tcl?presentation_id=113172 you
really need to click on the large thumbnail and then click 'large' under the
resultant print.

Julian,

Wish I could make your opening and see your work in person. The
images on the Photo.net site are very good and very intriguing. You
have an interesting "eye"!

Julian,
These images are very interesting indeed. Show us more! I wish I could see
them on the photo rag...they come very close to glowing on my monitor. I'll
be very interested to hear how they hold up under gallery lights.

Re: [Digital BW] exhibition invite

2001-09-26 by Julian Thomas

Thanks!
This is the start of something whereas the sp has been going on for 12
months. I've just found the contact I've been trying to find since moving
here... the guy who does all the galleries framing! I've taken the new stuff
in for mounts and he seems to be putting the word around.

Interestingly the new stuff came about due to a couple of physical
limitations - I have a spinal arthritic condition plus a couple of other
things which means that sometimes I just can't get a 35mm camera to my eye -
someone suggested a rolleiflex which I bought, and then looking under
hedgerows is easier than trying to straighten up!
