Re: [Digital BW] RE: Jerry's passing

I posted this to Keith's list, but after reading some of the heartfelt posts on this list, I realize that it belongs here too: I, like many others, only knew Jerry through the many forums we participated in, but he is a great example of someone who not only learned from others in our community of printmakers, but someone who used his own experiences and testing to make the transition to digital printing easier for others. The print exchanges allowed me to view and collect Jerry's fine work(and the fine work of others), and in some way, come closer to putting a name with a living, breathing person. When I requested a few prints for a class I was giving about 2 or 3 years ago, he immediately sent me 3 prints, showing the difference between the Piezography workflow and Piezo ink mixed with Generations blue ink (using Paul Roark's curves), with no request for compensation. The final sentence of my condolence card to his mother reads "...my thoughts are with you and your family and I hope that you know how many people upon which your son has had a positive influence."
