Digital BW, The Print

Can any help in adjusting Paul Roarks Epson 1270 curves for the new 
Ultratone ink? How are the new 1160 Ultratone curves different from 
the older ones?

I helped Paul test by printing with the original VM set (plus Gen4 
black) with the old and new curves on my 1160.  The toning was 
approximately the same with both sets of curves.  The new curves 
produced a lighter overall print than the original curves.  Paul 
says that the 1160 curves were his first and that the later ones 
should be about the same with both inksets.  I recently asked him 
this question about the 3000 and his reply was that the curves would 
need only a minor adjustment.  Of course, Paul would be the best one 
to answer your question.
