Question About Refilling Carts

Question About Refilling Carts

2003-07-11 by Tom Husband

OK, this is probably a dumb one but when I insert the syringe into
the cart (it's a 1280 cart from MIS)and inject the ink, obviously,
I'll pull the tape off the vent holes before hand but what about the
exit port? Do I force the fill adapter through the seal or do I
remove that tape before hand too? I don't see the answer in the MIS
instructions and will be trying out the Ultra tones this weekend I
hope.

I know Paul said that the carts don't leak much and don't require
tape after filling but those holes look awfully big. They really
don't leak?

Just lookin' out for my wife's sink and my life.

Thanks,

Tom

P.S. Went to the COBA meeting last night in Menlo Park, CA and Uwe
Steinmueller was there from Digital Outback Photo. Good meeting and
I learned a few things too. Here's a recap:

Re: Question About Refilling Carts-I Got the Answer

I called MIS (should have done this before) and they were most
helpful. It's really nice to have a person answer the phone. Anyway
they said to poke a small hole in the seal with a knife and wet the
adapter that goes on the end of the syringe with water so it will
ease into the port better.
