Replacing Printhead Problem

Hi, I am replacing the printhead in my 1200 and will need to use the Epson adjustment program to align it. I have a copy from the site listed by MIS( I believe it is a Russian site), but am unable to get it to recognize the printer. I suspect it has to do with the port settings. Has anyone used this program sucessfully? Any suggestions on how to get it to work? It may be the program is not the official Epson adjustment program, as the interface is not the same as in the service manuals. If this is the case, it may be the reason it doesn't work.
