In defense of BO printing
2003-07-28 by Johnny Eades
When I first bought my Epson 1280 printer, I had tried to get an adequate BW print from a Canon S750 printer with no success. The green cast could not go away using all ink colors to create BW. On this newsgroup Clayton Jones came to my rescue with BO printing. I tried it and got quite good with it, in my opinion. It stabilized my attitude enough to stay with BW images. I was almost at the point of going back to 35MM rather than digital before Clayton's rescue. Though I now use hextone ink sets, I often use BO with fond memories of Clayton's rescue giving me the confidence to have more than one mode of printing BW images. Let's acknowledge the significant contribution Clayton has given us as the result of his own hard labor to conceive the method and at least say THANK YOU VERY MUCH FROM ALL OF US WHO HAVE USED IT." your friend in photography Johnny Eades
