Digests unreliable

Digests unreliable

2003-08-01 by sandersm@aol.com

Are other list members who receive posts in digest form getting all of the
messages, and all of the digests? Yahoo keeps dropping messages and digests in
what it sends to me. For example, it sent me Digests 1664 and 1666, but not
1665. If I'm not the only one with this problem, is it something the list
administrator can take up with Yahoo?

Sanders,

I track the list by individual e-mails and I have encountered a couple of
periods in the last year when I did not receive all the posts. Yahoo Groups
quality is not the best and seems to vary over time and location.

Unfortunately as group owner I have no better access to Yahoo than anyone
else, which is to say none. As far as I can tell Yahoo simply does not want
to talk to the users of Yahoo Groups period. Since we are here for free we
don't have much leverage.

Hi

No problem with digests here - apart from some peoples inability to trim
parts of old messages! :-)))

Did anyone else receive a flood of mail form this site form a jamestayolor1120.

I just had to kill over 7000 messages from this wieb gorup. I just switched back to
Digest as I can't afford to lose good email. If there is a problem with the digest please
post an explantion.

Until this flood problem is solved I can't take a chance on having individual emails
sent.
