Photoshop Brushes Question

Photoshop Brushes Question

2001-10-03 by Martin Wesley

How do you rearrange the different brushes in the brushes pallet?

I have created a range of hard and soft brushes that I would like to
group together but for the life of me I have not been able to figure
out how to move them around. A minor annoyance and I imagine there is
a trivial solution.

Martin,

If you click on the blank spaces at the end of the brushes
and "create" them in the order you would like there, they will remain
in that order. Otherwise I believe you have modified existing
brushes I believe, which can easily be returned to defaults.

Holding down the Ctrl key gives sissors and you can cut out brushes.

Martin,

I don't think you can move them around but you could delete those you do
not wish in the set and then save your custom brushes (that you have left in
the brush pallet) as your own set. Call your set up using the little arrow
button on the right of the brush pallete... add to your set or replace it
when necessary.

That does not answer your question I'm afraid.

Best,
Carolyn

Cleavis,

I can see how that would work but I was hoping there was some way to
just move them around. Oh well.

Thanks for the info,
Martin

Carolyn,

Well at least there is a way to do it and it shouldn't take all that
long since the range of brush shapes I use is not very big.

Just one of those PS quirks that makes you wonder about what is (or
isn't) in the designers' minds. It is one of the most powerful pieces
of software I have seen, it just could use a little tweaking of the
details.

Thanks,
Martin
