End of Eclipse Bright White?

End of Eclipse Bright White?

2003-08-21 by httivals

Is anyone selling Eclipse Bright White anymore? Inkjetgoodies.com
states that it is not making the paper anymore and directs purchasers
to look at the "Moab" line. Has anyone tried the Moab papers? Are
they almost identical to Eclipse Bright White? Any other sources?
Thanks, Howard Slavitt

The eclipse line of papers has been out of production for awhile now,
and the replacement is supposedly the Moab line. I just sent an e-
mail to inkjetgoodies and asked if they would offer a sample pack of
the Moab papers so we users can compare them to the eclipse line. You
still can get some of whats left of the eclipse by checking their
specials tab(on the left hand side and /or the top of)on their home
page. I would like to try these papers and see for myself, as I
really liked the Eclipse papers.

Keith,
contact Hawk Mountain Art Papers and request the "Condor 290gsm bright white" paper. It has identical performance as the Eclipse Satine 300. It is dual sided as well. For more info contact me off list.
Regards,
Anders

The Entrada Fine Art papers of the Moab line were produced
specifically to replace the disappearing Eclipse Bright White. The
Entrada sheets are nearly identical except they have an improved
base and an even deeper black. They are available in both a 190 and
300 gsm weight and in both Bright White (standard) and Natural (no
optical brighteners!). They are still dual sided and priced very
affordably. We have even added some new sizes including 13" rolls
and 24x30 sheets (in the 300gsm).

I'm very confident that users of Eclipse will LOVE Entrada! I spent
9 months working on them to get them just right and everyone that
has used it, loves it. Ergosoft announced this week the addition of
profiles for the Entrada (the only paper profiles included at this
point) with StudioPrint and a co-marketing agreement. Several
reviews will be published soon as well. But don't take my word for
it, just print on some and you will know why we're so excited about
Entrada.

A side note, every Septone sample being sent out is printed on
Entrada.
