a while back there was discussion about using color films for b&w... etc. and c41 b&w... My first look at some scans from the new-ish Kodak High Definition 400 speed film looks very promising. Will have to do some actual side by side tests to compare it to T400CN, but it looks to be at least close. mark

What is Koda's identifier for the new film? Mark Hahn <markhahn2000@...> wrote: a while back there was discussion about using color films for b&w... etc. and c41 b&w... All I shoot is Kodak 160NC, 400NC, and 800 in 6x7 format -- I'm begining to *LOVE* the 800 for its fabulous grain. Sharpening is a trick, but quite doable if you know what you are doing. In fact, I've recently stopped using 160NC as my default film as the diff in grain is negligable between it and 400NC which is a truly exceptional film. mjs --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Mark Hahn" > It is an improvemtent over their old color films (and I don't > genreally like Kodak color films)
