Just a note: If you use IP5.x from Colorbyte with the new driver, at
least in Windows you will have a hassle. The last 1/2 inch of print
will band and print lighter, solved by going to printer properties in
control panel, clicking on "ports" tab, and unchecking "enable
bi-directional support". Unfortunately, when you do this, although it
will print properly, Epson status monitor can no longer read the ink
levels. Colorbyte told me to install the driver twice, so the 2nd
copy, unassociated with IP will talk to status monitor with checkmark
in place. But I didn't want to hassle. If I had to do over again, I
just would have installed the old driver (on my CD shipped with my
2200 last November). The old driver has no problem.
My workaround is to switch on the checkmark when I want to see ink
levels, then immedeiately unchecking.
