1160
MIS sepia>neutral inkset
paul's ciurves

After a long absence from printing, I cant get a good test pattern on
my setup. 3 of the tones are good but black is non-existant. Cleaning
cycles and the windex on a paper towel under the head trick just dont
do it

so frustrating - what else would you suggest i do to restore the
black ink flow ?
thanks
Frank

Read the MIS website on dealing with clogs. It's very good. Stick in
an original Epson cart. That tells you if it's a nozzle clog (probably
not) or something in the cart or tubing. I'd put my money on the cart
or tubing. Then take the bottom fill adapter and syringe that came
with your CFS and pull ink in through the cart (i.e. bottom fill). If
foamy, keep doing it until the foam quits by recycling the ink back
into the bottle. The only real clog I've ever had with my 1280 w/ MIS
CFS was in the CFS tubing. Never could clear it and just replaced that
one tube.

Have you tried installing a brand new Epson cartridge? See also
