* testing there Piezo inks
*
*
* Hello everybody, I have read some of the older (2000-2001 post)
* about MIS B&W and Piezo inks, there was a test image that was made
* by Jon Cone to show there ink is better..
*
* I would like to try that test image, anybody have it and
* would e- mail it to me?
*
Christopher,
As far as I know that image file was never available to the public. At this
point it is pretty much ancient history (3 years is a looong time in this
game!) as it was primarily a comparison of the Piezo plug-in printer driver
with the original Piezo/Sundance inks and some other driver or RIP with the
original MIS Quad inks both done on a 3000 which uses larger droplets than
more current printers. It was primarily a software comparison and not an ink
comparison.
The current MIS and Piezotone inks are great and other than variations in
hue I don't think you would be able to distinguish one from the other on a
finished print. Even the end results of the various workflows are all pretty
much equal from what I have seen once you get to a final print.
Over a year ago I went with the hue I liked best, Selenium Piezotone, and
the Piezo plug-in that was needed to use them. Today there are a lot more
choices!
