Media types missing

Media types missing

2003-10-27 by Antara Scales

Could someone help me please.
On the 2200 I just switched from matte black to photo black. In
the print monitor (Mac OS 9.1) under media, the glossy papers
don't show up. The printer went thru a long cleaning after the
switch and the print monitor didn't see the printer until after a
computer restart. Now it does, but the glossy media still don't
show. Guess I need to install the 2200 software, yes? Will that
erase all my saved custom settings?
Any help would be appreciated.

Antara,
I haven't used OS 9 much, but in OS X sometimes the correct papaers
don't show up after a change of cartridges. Usually, doing one or all
of the following will do the trick:
Make sure you've closed and reopened Print center (or it's equivalent
in OS 9). Turn the printer off if it's been on the whole time, and
then back on. If, on turning it back on, you don't see the correct
papers, close Photoshop and reopen it. You should not have to
reinstall anything.
I'm assuming you deleted and then added the 2200 after you chnaged
the cartridges as the first step in this process.

If that does not work, try downloading Print Center Repair (available via
VersionTracker) and run that...
