Epson C82 + QuadToneRip?

Epson C82 + QuadToneRip?

2003-10-27 by theringwan

Roy,

I'm very intrigued by Paul Roark's findings with the Epson C82 and
MIS inks, but a little disappointed by the Dmax he was getting. I'm
wondering if QuadToneRip could be set up to lay down a bit more ink
to deepen the Dmax.

I notice Gimp-Print supports the C82. Is it easy/possible for
QuadToneRip to support it as well?

Thanks,
Dave Ringoen

Hi Dave,

I don't think the version I'm using supports the C82 at the moment,
but it is potentially possible. Have you actually used the MIS inks
and Paul's workflow? In general I would think the Epson driver is
pretty good at getting the maximum amount of black ink on to the
paper, so I'm a little dubious about you getting a greater dMax.
