Re: The Lenswork Issue

Speaking of Lenswork, the current Sept.-Oct. issue has images for sale and beside each, in bold text says: "Hand-pulled photogravure (not inkjet!)." Note the exclamation point. In many quarters, injet prints seem to be the lowest of the low. That's one reason I psychologically vaporize when a photography gallery owner asks "what are these." I know it's all over when I hear that question. Although infrequent, upscale photography galleries in my area seem to show inkjets by famous photograpers only. Mixed media galleries, individuals, corporations don't get that kiss of death stare when I tell them. Helene [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
