Just got my D1X (wow) and a couple of 256mb cards... I've formatted them in the camera, but the Mac doesn't recognize them and wants to initialize... what do I do... the Mac offers 2 options, one standard, one extended... any one with experience here? I need to use these cards tomorrow! Thanks in advance... I'm so glad you are all out there! Susan Lerner NYC

Susan, The last you posted you were in urgent need of scanner advice to deliver an assignment. What was the problem and did you make the deadline? Martin, Thank you for remembering... I was definitely in a frenzy... but did make the deadline. My SS35ES wasn't recognizing my capture software... the Sprint scan software caused the mac to freeze, and the insight wasn't working. I disabled the sprintscan, and re-installed Insight, but I'm sure there was something else - senior moment and can't remember. I did download vuescan, but don't understand how to capture with that... Ugh... the learning curve is sometimes too steep, and/or my attention span too short. I did find the fix for the compact flash - file transfer turned off... sweetly humming again - until the next thing! Susan Lerner

Your Mac should recognize the disks with no problem. Check to make sure that the File Exchange control panel is loaded. Lanette
