Resampling Strategies in PS7

There was some discussion about the resampling method used in PS7. Now I am no expert on PS7 (I am using 7.0.1), but I have found out that when choosing to resize an image (Image>Image Size) the window has two check boxes at the bottom, one to constrain proportions (checked as defaul) and a second to Resample Image (also checked as default)....BUT there is also a pull down menu that gives you 3 choices of resample strategies. The default is Bicubic, but also available are "Nearest Neighbor" and "Bilinear". So PS7 gives you the option of either resampling or not, and a choice of 3 resample strategies.
