New Neutral MIS Piezo/FS-compatible inkset

New Neutral MIS Piezo/FS-compatible inkset

2003-11-15 by Paul Roark

I just sent MIS a final formula for a new neutral, monotone inkset based on
the MIS 7600 Archival inkset, like the Ultra Tone inks. It is
PiezoBW-driver compatible, printing dead neutral, with a slight "selenium"
tone, at 50% with the Piezo drive and Epson driver with RGB curves on both
EEM and PhotoRag.

The inks for the "affordable 16x20" project are done. This plus the Ultra
Tone inks should be enough.

On the other hand, I could do an "FS-carbon" easily if there is demand.
Since the UT inkset can print carbon tone easily, the main purpose I see
for a carbon FS is for those who might want to warm up the new neutral set a
bit by mixing in a little more carbon. Let me know if this is of any
interest.

Re: [Digital BW] Anyone interested in a trade for a new Epson 1280 Silver?

2003-11-15 by D. Hill

Hi all,

The quadtone gods have been smiling down on me this
week...

First, I found an unused 860. Quads loaded perfectly
and I get to use my favorite printer again (until I
break it).

Therefore, as I have an Epson 1280 Silver that is new
and unused - just sent to me from epson as a warranty
replacement this week, I plan to sell it on the
auction site we are all familiar with.

Before I do that, I was wondering if anyone is
interested in a trade before I sell. As I would like
to purchase a dedicated film scanner, If any of you
have one and would like to swap for the 1280 please
let me know this week. I am interested in anything
with a firewire or USB connection as I only have a
laptop. Contact me with the pertinent details please,
and as I have an Epson 3200 I do not need a flatbed,
only a dedicated film scanner.

Thanks in advance, and please contact me off list at
hill14701@...

Don

I would be interested in working out a deal with you.
I do have a motorola elite II scanner that is 35 only.

I know you are looking for USB or FW and this one is SCSI, but thought
that it would be worth at least an inquiry.
