PiezographyBW ICC disappointment

Whoa! $98 for one grey position cartridge in a 1280? If I'm reading this right: http://www.inkjetmall.com/store/bw/1280-carts-ug.html That's what Inkjet Mall is charging for their new ICC compatible grey position cartridge (a black position cartridge is also required, about $40 if I remember right). I don't print enough to keep a CIS system from drying/clogging occasionally so I use cartridges, plus no mess no fuss. If I'm reading their website correctly then the pricing makes PieziographyBW icc not even close to being an option for me. Man, that even makes expensive ImagePrint5.5 with Epson inks look like a deal in the short term! It doesn't take that long to go through a cartridge, so I just can't believe I'm reading it right on their site -- it would be just too expensive -- I mean, this almost becomes a principle-of-the-thing issue. Their site says Piezo printing "is now more affordable than ever." Huh? Someone please explain it to me. Seriously, I want to give Inkjet Mall the benefit of the doubt. BTW, where do we draw the line on this cost of ink question? I know there are quality control issues with ink, but come on! The pricing is like ink is being specially formulated by pharmacutical giant Pfizer as a result of a hundred million dollar research and developement program. In my opinion ink prices are too just too high.
