Printing Options

2003-12-03 by Finnianp

Hi, I'm new to the list. I was wondering what people
suggest as the best method for making black and white
prints from digital files.

I have a book on making digital negatives to contact
print onto black and white paper but was wondering if
any of you have suggestions for ways to do hi-quality
archival prints.

Thanks for you help!

This list is pretty much exclusively about B&W inkjet printing, within which
there are basically three possibilities: print with black ink only, print
B&W with ordinary color inks, or print with third-party grayscale inks
(quadtones, hextones or septones). The archives for the list are full of
discussion of this, so I suggest taking a gander at the message subjects
there, and read up on anything that looks interesting.
