May I suggest a web site to convert those long html addresses to a
short web address for pasting into postings? It is called
http://www.tinyurl.com You just cut and paste those long addresses into
it and it makes a very short one for you. Then cut and paste THAT
address into your posting. And it's free.

Mark

Don;t try clicking on it. Yahoo cuts part of it off.

Paste the URL into your browser.

The document is there.

Nope. It wasn't--at least not when I tried it.

Split Channels Method for Converting to B&W Tutorial

Mitch: Tried the links, the first and second, neither works. Your tutorial
would be very helpful, thanks. Wonder if when you copied the link something
was lost as the lines became separated. Perhaps you could compare the links
as given here and as you see them in your monitor. Would appreciate it.

You can try the folder:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Canon10D/files/Tutorials/

Otherwise, I have no idea why you cannot access the file.

I have tried it and accessed it multiple times. I have logged out of
Yahoo! and gotten the message to login and then was taken to the
file.

It is there and it is accessible, if you know how to handle a URL
that Yahoo! Groups has broken across multiple lines in a message.

Cheers,

Mitch

Glenn,

The file is there if you are a member of the Canon10D group but not
otherwise. Even if you are logged out, you will still have a cookie
which holds your Yahoo login and thus identifies you as a member. Anyone
else trying to go into the Files section is told they have to join to
access the files.

Well, I can't get it either and I'm a member.

Must Join Canon 10D Group ( was Re: Split Channels Method . . . )

2003-12-07 by Glenn Mitchell

Yes. I assuemed that to be the case. Since they belong to Yahoo!
Groups already (or would not be reading message here), that should
be quick and painless. ;)

In a couple of weeks, I'll have a new Web site, and everything will
be available there. :)

In the interim, they'll have to join the Canon 10D group. ;) They'll
get access to my tutorials, PS action sets, PS tool presets, etc. :)

Thanks, Colin, for clearing up what's going on.

Cheers,

Mitch

Ok, I'll pass on the file.

In the future please use a method of posting that doesn't result in
ridiculously long links.

How to find the Tutorial

2003-12-07 by Bernie Ess

I also got the error messag efirst - you have to join the Canon 10D
group first, and after a while I managed to get into the
fuiles/tutorials folder.
Mitch - you should have mentioned that it is in the 10D list.
