red light on 1280

2003-12-16 by Allan Chen

Hi all,
I got a red light on my 1280 telling me the black cartridge of my UT set is
out. However, I think it's actually because the cartridge popped loose (I
accidentally broke the little clamp thing off when I isntalled them,
because I'm stupid, and forgot to tie them down with velcro or anything
before getting caught up in all this cool B&W printing...).

Is there any way to trick the 1280 into re-checking the cartridge to see if
it's actually empty? Or do I need to buy a new cartridge? I havent'
printed that many prints (maybe a dozen 8x10's, and 3 11x14's) so I'm
figuring it's not actually out of ink yet.
