Epson offers several "Matte" papers: Enhanced Matte Archival Matte Heavyweight Matte Could someone tell me what the difference is between them? I thought I read somewhere that Enhanced Matte was a replacement for Archival Matte. Could anyone confirm? Thanks Mike

Daniel Thanks for that piece of information about what it is called "over here" , i.e. Europe. Only once did I get paper with the "Epson logo" at the back. Now its called EPSON Archival Matte again (No C13SO41342, DIN A4,192g). I had at one point thought that "Enhanced" matte was the name Epson used in the US only to avoid lawsuits over the misrepresentation of the paper's archival keeping properties. It appeared from their non-US web sites that "Archival" matte was the name used in the rest of the world. But, of course, large re-sellers often trans-ship products to get the best prices. Then an Epson rep told me the printing on the back was the difference, and that seemed to be consistent with what I saw on my various batches. Now I'm wondering, again, what if any rhyme or reason there is for their naming. I'm still suspicious that they want to "have their cake and eat it too" -- a cheap, good looking paper that they can sell to people as having archival keeping qualities.
