Hi David,

AFAIK the only way to get truly metamerism free output from the Epson 2200/2100 and UC inks is through the use of a RIP such as ImagePrint. I've heard the Gray Balancer, shipped with the 2100, will sorta, kinda work, but it's a pain. Haven't used GB, myself as I have IP.

Trying to print b&w with color inks will do that. Some get a magenta 
cast, other a heavy cyan cast.

There is an alternate way to print b&w with the Epson 2100, assuming 
that the ink carts are the same as the Epson 2200, and it's black 
only printing.
Have a look at this site and decide for yourself if this is 
appropriate. If not, then ImagePrint may be the the only way to go.
