Does anyone know if PR 308 can be fed successfully through an Epson 1160 or Epson 1270?

With 1160 no problem.

I print on PR 308 on my 1160 every day. I load 1 sheet at a time on top of a
backing board of about 3/16" matt board.

I pre-feed the paper in to the printer before printing.

Before printing I press the paper feed button and apply a bit of manual
pressure to "help" the printer feed the paper. This printer the sheet in
awaits the print job from the computer.

As soon as the computer sends the job to the printer it begins to print.

I used to think that this was annoying to not be able to print from a stack
of paper, but given the likelihood of flaking I need to hand brush each
sheet anyway as well as inspect each print as it comes off to ensure
everything is still functioning properly.
