I live in south Florida. Right now the daylight is about 10.5 hours
(sun rises at 7:10 am, sets at 5:41 pm). My front window faces south
with an awning over the window, so the only direct sun on the prints
occurs in the morning and afternoon when it peeks in under the awning.
Back in August when the test began, the sun's arc was higher and the
amount of direct sun was small. As we passed the fall equinox and the
arc began to decrease, the amount of direct sun increased (because the
sun could peek in under the awning for longer periods), even though
the days became shorter.
