If someone with a 1290 would like to try a free cart of UT2, let me know. As far as I can tell the inkset and curves for the 1280 work on the 1290 as is. I loaded the 1290 driver in my 1280 and the system seems ready to go for the 1290. However, it would be nice if a real 1290 user could verify this. Contact me off list for this. Thanks. It uses the MIS Ultra Tone type inks to take variable-tone inksets to the next step of range, control and simplicity. The UT2 inkset prints all the way from icy cold to sepia. I altered the densities and tones a bit to make better RC prints. The old style quads use too much light ink and flood the RC papers. UT2 can be controlled by just the sliders or curves. The slider controls mean that any application can print from neutral to medium warm from grayscale files. This is the inkset I'm moving forward with. The 2200 is next, then the 4000.
