Digital BW, The Print

Does anyone know if QTR can print 16 bit greyscale images or does it
convert it to 8 bits first?

The Print System of OS X only passes 8 bits per pixel.   It's OK for
the file itself to be 16 bit -- it is converted on the fly.
Internally, QTR uses 16 bit for all the curves and ink management.
