Luster v Semigloss (but not Semimatte, alas)

Okay, I give in on Semimatte. One last question: As between Luster and
Semigloss, Paul, do you have a preference? My recollection (it's been a long
time) is that Luster has a pebbly surface that I didn't like but that Semigloss
had a smoother surface (and Semimatte the smoothest of all). I associate
textured surfaces with One-Hour Photo prints, and much prefer the smooth,
dull-lustered surface of a fiber photo paper. That was why I first opted for
Semimatte -- Luster was too pebbly, Semigloss was too shiny.

If I'm going to abandon Semimatte, which archival RC paper do you like/prefer
that will have a pleasing surface, and take the UT2 inks well with the curves
you are developing? I appreciate that there is no right answer here -- just
asking your preference and thoughts.

Semigloss.

I agree.

Right now my preferences are

1.  Epson Premium Semigloss for the top, archival, sprayed alternative;

2.  Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl for a 30 year, sprayed print;

3. Epson Glossy Photo Paper for a cheap but good image that needs no spray.

Paul, you are my Hero. I just read the readme you posted on the web, and you are
nearing the spot I've longed to occupy. When you port these curves over to the 2200,
and then to the 7600, I will be a happy man.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

If you are happy to print at 13x19, has anyone tried the "glazed" FB glossy
type surface of Epson Pro Glossy?
