epson C84

I have bought one of these printers because no C82 porinters were
available in the u.K. So far I have used it with the original inks
in greyscale and also in Black Only printing. Has anyone else
tried it? I was hoping to use it for quadtones like the 870.
Is there any hope of suitable curves for it? Or would the curves
for the C82 work? The B.O. prints I have made so far on it seem
very good to me. Thanks for your advice.
Serena.

MIS should have the Ultra Tone carts for the C84 on its web page next week.
No curves or anything are needed for printing with it.

Hello Mitch,

> Does anyone make a Quodtone cartridge for the Epson 870s?

MIS has inks for the 870. It uses the same black cart as the 1280,
which means it can be used with Eboni black. I used to have one and
it gives excellent results.

Clayton

then I can do it now!! Yay! I will look into that.

Thanks,
Mitch

Paul, with the EZColor Ultra Tones on a C84, will I be able to
print on glossy paper, or only matte?

Ed,

It'll do either. I actually saw some glossy printed with Eboni that were
surprisingly good because the C84 uses the midtones under the black ink.
However, for the C84 the best glossy use Photo k. For good matte prints,
use Eboni.
