Yes, but for the average user not concerned with the twists and turns of OS level color management, or manufacturer printer driver problems I think it would in fact be easy. I have 2 friends who've never owned computers before, went out and got G5s (uh huh), and are sailing right along without knowing all this is supposed to be difficult.
I say this in the context of the thread, which was using QTR. OSX out of the box, then installing Gimp and QTR to print, should be a breeze.
Paul, you may be able to print out of apps that come on the Mac, but you won't have PS print options like moving your image around within the page setup size. Someone else will have to verify that.
Installing some sort of dual OS on Windows may be a more cost effective way to go, but I know nothing about it.
