Additionally I find that if I start testing a new image it changes to darker after a few test prints. If I go back to the original first test print it is much darker

To trouble shoot I printed a step wedge which looks alright and then the image I am having a problem with. Upon scanning the two together the density in the step wedge looks ok but the image is much too dense. Is there some sensitivity to the particular image?
