Digital BW, The Print

After experiencing much frustration with clogs when using pigment 
based inks, such as Piezo and MIS, I'm giving the Lyson Small Gamut 
dye cartridges a try.  Is anyone aware of a Lyson discussion group?  
Yahoo doesn't seem to have anything.

Never seen a Lyson group, but if you do a good job of flushing when 
you switch over to LSG and follow the instructions carefully from the 
Lyson website (use their free profiles and play with the hue 
adjustment layer tool), you should do quite well.

That said, why not post your issues here. Most of the LSG users seem 
to be lurkers or have no real problems <g>, but they are here and 
will chime in if you have issues they can help with...there are more 
than one would guess from the message traffice, I think.

I have used Lyson Small Gamut inks since they were introduced.  Very few 
problems even after leaving the printer (Epson 1160) for a month.  I use 
the settings as given by Marrutt's  or Lyson. They sent out info with a 
file and a test print and my printing of their test  was very similar 
though a slight curve adjustment was needed. Prints have been lying 
around for up to two years now with no change.
