Help: which is the best way to print B&W with the R800?

2004-03-04 by ibengarmendia

I've been using my EPSON R800 for two weeks, and I'm satistied with
its results in color. But when I print B&W (most of the time), the
prints are coldish. And I don't think this is the best way. In my
opinion all the inks are used, and I don't know if it´s posible to
print BO method. If not, does anyone know which would be the best way?

Image Print, maybe? Other inks?

Thank you, and sorry because of my poor english.

Hi... it's true. With the current R800 driver there is no BO printing. I =

ImagePrint some while ago and they said they would not be making their RIP =

for the R800.

Perhaps the following post will do you some good. It was sent to me by Car=

Hi, First of all, thanks for your reply.
I,ve tried to do it but after installing the software of the PXG900,
and printing as black & white, I've realised that the prints are the
same. They look coldish too. Have you tried to do this?
It won't be the posibility of printing real B&W with the R800?
It would be a pity.

Regards.

I wasn't able to get the Japanese driver installed on my Mac. However, I've heard
reports of PC users successfully installing this driver and getting *great* BO results.
