Hey Jerry in Houston,

I'm in Houston!

I use Paul Roark's curves with MIS UT inks on an Epson 1270 and am VERY
happy with the prints. I don't think I'll be doing much darkroom work
anymore.

I'm involved with the Houston Photographic Society. They will be meeting
Tuesday, 23, at Tracy Gee Community Center at 7 pm. This meeting is our
monthly print competition (we don't do slides). I will more than likely be
bringing a B&W print using the carbon on cotton process (MIS UT and Epson
EEM).

Feel free to email me offline.

Thanks,
Barbara (in Hooooouuuuuuuston)

Hello Barbara,

Please be aware that EEM is not a cotton paper. Don't let someone at
the meeting pick you apart on a technicality and detract from the
issue of print quality. Best to use a true cotton paper or else call
it something else. I prefer the term "carbon ink print", many use
"carbon pigment print" - whatever you use, DON'T call it a "carbon
print" because that's the name of another process - the carbon print
people are very touchy about the digi folks stealing their name
(understandably so).

Let us know what happens. I love the "shock and awe" stories, like
Austin's the other day. Great stuff <g>.

Regards,
Clayton
