Epson 2200 Hookup

Epson 2200 Hookup

2004-03-17 by Roger L Sopher

Having just replaced my aging 860 with a new 2200 I was wondering if it is
possible (advisable?) to cable it to two computers, one via USB (Linux box
for QTR2 printing) and one via Firewire PC for regular color printing? I had
a declaser some years (many years...) ago that allowed a dual hookup with
both a Mac and a pc but I have no idea whether the Epson can-will do the
same thing.

I have had my 2200 connected to both a Mac and a Pc at the same time
for quite a while, it works just fine.

It works, but I don't think it's smart enough to hold off data on one port
while the other is busy, so make sure you don't print from both machines at
the same time.
