Help - Is My 1280 Toast?

Help - Is My 1280 Toast?

2004-05-10 by Shilesh Jani

Hello All,

After more than 2 years service, one of my two 1280s has finally
stumped me. In the middle of a print job, a few of the nozzles
stopped firing. So ran a couple of cleaning cycles. After that,
both the green and red lights on the printer started blinking. When
I took the cartrides out (virgin-vaccum-filled with FS inks) , to
replace them with OEM, I notices that the printer had dumped ALL ink
in both carts.

What's up? I tried shutting the printer down, disconnecting it,
putting new OEM carts, all to no avail.

Help me, please else I am going to have to get a new 1280 or the 2200
(for speed).

Shilesh

Sometimes this can be due to the ink waste pad being full. This is not too
big of a deal to get serviced. Anything other than that and it might be new
printer time.

Best

Go to this page for the button reset trick:

http://www.mwords.co.uk/pages/printers/printersHowDoI.htm#ResetPrinter

Or if you are running Windows download this free program to reset the printer:
