Digital BW, The Print

I've been using the demo version of IP for a couple of days, and will probably purchase it.  There are a couple of things however that have me confused.

In the manual it says to check "Print directly to printer" in the printer properties, in order to avoid going through the windows print spooler.  I did that, but it still seems to go through the windows spooler (in fact, it seems to go through both the windows spooler and the IP Spooler at the same time.  

Also, in my Printer properties, there's a place to select a driver.  I have choices of the Epson 2200 or ImagePrint.  Not sure which to check - though I did notice that if I select the ImagePrint driver, the image doesn't go to print.  But it makes me wonder if I'm somehow unintionally bypassing IP.

Any input will be appreciated.
